Americade 2003

Well, we did it again in 2003 !!  Lake George in June is beautiful, but very unpredictable when it comes to the weather!  Eric led the way again with 5 bikes, two trucks and a trailer. We stayed at Cramer's Point and had an absolute riot of a week!!  Come join us for Americade 2006 !!

Nothing like starting the day with a good breakfast buffet...

But other days, we let Mel cook for us...and we're all still alive to talk about it !

Great job, Mel !

A gorgeous scenic area... right before you get here, you come down about 5 miles of twisty-turnies !

Oh, the bikes you see are incredible !

Ok, now this next part takes some introduction...

First we met Al from "Joisey".  Al spent much of the week in hushed conversation on his cell phone to
someone named Guido back home. I get the feeling that maybe Al is used to having his hands in this position...

In all fairness, Al bought us all dinner the first night there.  Are we all guilty of taking a bribe, Al?

We had a strange couple of guys staying in the room next to us, who put boots in the window the first night, and they stayed there all week...

Not to be out-done, purple-flame panties were hung in our window for the remainder of the week!

Ok, so Al is part of the group now, and he hangs his Bone Man shirt in his window... Word is, that in the big house on the hill in front of us, a pair of "not-so-tighty-whities"
(estimated size 52...) was hung from their front window... I like my camera too much to take a pic of those...sorry, guys!

So, 4 of us rented a cottage that was rated for 5-6 people...lucky there was only 4 of us!! Susan, being the shortest of us, had requested that we leave the bathroom light on for her, as she couldn't
reach the little pull-chain on the light above the sink...

Here is the (patent-pending) Twisted-Sister-Pull-My-Chain-Extender!Our experiment proved that a tampon will expand at the rate of 15% per day when exposed to four showers a day for 6 days!

Cathy - we know where both your hands are!

Mel - Where is that other hand of yours?

Al - Still holding your water?  Don't bend over, dear!

Eric - Aren't you used to this by now?

Honorable mention to Bob and his friends from the Back Road Drifters MC  (from Joisey too, but not that far south...) for the "after midnight cycle repair" to the Purple Shadow.

I owe ya' big time, guys... See ya' next year in Lake George - if not before!!
